Who is "the Green Man"?The Green Man represents irrepressible life. Often linked with the Christian origins of modern science. The Green Man is an ancient and very prevalent archetype - its presence can be found in folklore, religious art, and sacred architecture from the earliest times. This aspect is the male counterpart, the Green Man. He has many appearances, but in all of them, he universally is a symbol of renewal and continual rebirth - as is the prime function of nature. A description of Green Man type commonly found would be that of a green human head, immersed in foliage.
